Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Be an AI Guru certifications.
Certifications
Are your certifications recognised by Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google?▼
No — our certifications are independent credentials issued by Be an AI Guru Ltd, registered in England and Wales. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any AI vendor. Many professionals use our certifications alongside vendor-issued credentials. We are transparent about this on all our materials.
How difficult are the exams?▼
Challenging but fair. Each exam contains 50–60 multiple-choice questions, covering both theoretical understanding and practical application. You need 70% to pass. Our practice exams are closely modelled on the real exam style, so studying our materials is the best preparation.
How long is a certificate valid?▼
Our certificates do not expire. However, as AI technology evolves rapidly, we recommend refreshing your knowledge every 1–2 years. We will notify certificate holders of major content updates.
What does the certificate look like?▼
You receive a professional PDF certificate with your name, the certification title, issue date, pass score, and a unique verification ID. You also receive a digital badge for LinkedIn and other platforms.
Can I put the certification on my CV or LinkedIn?▼
Absolutely — that is the primary purpose. Add it under Licences & Certifications on LinkedIn. Employers can verify authenticity via our /verify page.
Exams & Study
How long do I have to study?▼
You have lifetime access to all study materials — no time limit. Most students complete a single certification in 1–2 weeks studying a few hours per day.
What happens if I fail the exam?▼
Each purchase includes one free retake. If you fail the retake, additional attempts are available at a small fee (£9.99). We recommend reviewing the topics where you scored lowest before retaking.
Is the exam proctored or supervised?▼
Exams are taken online via our platform. They are timed (90 minutes) and questions are randomised each attempt. We use technical measures to prevent cheating, including question banks that rotate across attempts.
Can I take the exam on a mobile device?▼
Yes — our platform is fully mobile-responsive. However, we recommend a desktop or tablet for the best experience during timed exams.
Payments & Refunds
What payment methods do you accept?▼
We accept all major credit and debit cards (Visa, Mastercard, Amex), Apple Pay, and Google Pay via Stripe. All payments are processed securely — we never store card details.
Can I get an invoice for my employer?▼
Yes. A VAT invoice is generated automatically on all purchases and emailed to you. Contact us if you need a custom format for expense reporting.
Is there a refund policy?▼
Yes — 30-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked. Email refunds@beanai.guru within 30 days of purchase. Refunds are not available once a certificate has been issued.
Are there team discounts?▼
Yes — our Team plan (£249) covers 5 people on the full bundle. For 10+ users, contact us for a custom enterprise quote.
Privacy & Data
Is my data GDPR compliant?▼
Yes. Be an AI Guru Ltd processes all personal data in accordance with UK GDPR. We are registered as a data controller. We store data in EU-based infrastructure, never sell personal data, and provide full data subject rights (access, erasure, portability). See our Privacy Policy for full details.
What data do you collect?▼
We collect the minimum necessary: your name, email address, and payment information (processed by Stripe — we never see full card details). We also store your course progress and exam scores to deliver the service. See our full Privacy Policy for details.
Can I delete my account and data?▼
Yes. Email privacy@beanai.guru and we will delete your account and associated data within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements (e.g., we must keep purchase records for HMRC for 6 years).
Do you use cookies?▼
